Was Asda's application approved? Yes? No? Maybe....
The planning committee at Wokingham Borough Council has postponed its decision on Asda's planning application to allow committee members time to visit the site.
Councillors expressed concern and wanted to visit the site so that they could make an informed decision. Liberal Democrat, Jenny Lissaman, suggested that the committee should also find out the delivery times of other stores in the Borough; it was also suggested that the decision should be deferred until after the new delivery bay was complete and noise levels had been monitored to test its effectiveness.
The planning application is due to be decided at the next planning committee meeting scheduled for 7pm on the 18th of August.
