Sibly Hall Redevelopment

The University of Reading has submitted planning applications for the re-development of its student accommodation at Sibly Hall. The applications are for the demolition of Sibly Hall in favour of 99 new homes and the relocation of the communications mast currently situated on top of the Hall.

If you'd like to know more a University newsletter (PDF) describing the development can be viewed by following this link:

The proposals include an unpopular plan to relocate a communications mast to nearby woodland known as Redhatch Copse. The planning application, for a 30m high mast, is available to view on Wokingham Borough Council's website and can be viewed by following this link http://go.earleylibdems.org/siblyhall2

If you'd like to comment you have until Wednesday, January 19, to contact Wokingham Borough Council by post, email or on-line.

Earley's Lib Dems have no formal group policy on this development but we do share residents concerns regarding the development's impact on local traffic and school places. We'd be pleased to hear from you and learn your views on these proposals.
