Meet your Lib Dem Candidates for the Earley 2014 Wokingham Borough Council Elections
Earley needs a strong voice in the Council chamber. The Earley Liberal Democrats are the best choice on Thursday 22nd May.
Clive Jones for Hawkedon Ward
Clive Jones has lived in Hawkedon ward
with his wife for over 22 years. Their
daughters went to local schools and they
are now both at University.
Clive runs his own small business. He has
enjoyed a 35 year career in the UK and
European toy industry and has been the
Managing Director of two medium sized
businesses employing over 70 people.
His extensive business experience would
be of great benefit to the Borough Council
if he were elected. He has been the
trustee of two children's charities
helping them to raise several
hundred thousand pounds.
David Hare for Maiden Erlegh Ward
David Hare is Leader of Earley Town Council
Liberal Democrat group. He was a Borough
Councillor for 15 years, chair of Social
Services and Lib Dem spokesperson for the
Environment. David brought up his three
sons, now grown up, in Earley.
David works for EnrYch, matching people
with physical disabilities to volunteers to
help them live fuller, more colourful lives.
David is secretary of the Berkshire
Cricket Officials Association, a registered
panel umpire, is active in a local church,
and supports a charity using animal related
and horticultural therapy with people who
have mental health problems.
Keith Yabsley for Hillside Ward
Keith Yabsley has lived in the
Reading area for over 15 years. He
studied at Reading University and
now works locally. He is married
with two young children.
Keith says, “I live in Hillside: what
better motivation could there be to
represent this community’s interests?
It’s time for some fresh ideas, and for
residents’ views to be heard! We
