Wokingham Borough Council Elections - Thursday 3rd May

Vote for a change on Thursday 3rd May!

  • Labour can’t win here: they only have one councillor
  • The Lib Dems are planning more genuinely affordable homes here
  • The Lib Dems are demanding the Government give more cash
  • to our schools
  • ONLY the Lib Dems will deal with the dangerous Tory debt of
  • over £400 million - increased from just £50 million a few years ago
  • Many Conservatives say they can’t support the Tories piling up
  • millions of pounds of debt on a regeneration plan that is
  • destroying ancient trees and destroying the town centre
  • Lib Dems are the clear challengers to the Conservatives here

Your Earley Lib Dem Councillor and campaign team fought to reject plans to build 126 flats at the Danehill estate, and they continue to oppose the new plan for 76 flats.

They are also fighting to protect woodland at Chalfont Park from being built on.

The team is spearheading the campaign to keep the public library open at Maiden Erlegh School, and they are urging the Council to come up with a proper scheme for repairing potholes and worn out road surfaces.

Vote for David Hare (Hawkedon), Tahir Maher (Maiden Erlegh) and Sue Smith (Hillside) on Thursday, May 3rd.
